Dr Aime Powell is a passionate mid-career Research Fellow dedicated to improving gynaecological cancer outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. As Chief Investigator on the PREVENT Project, she worked closely with a national team to improve cervical screening access for Aboriginal women in remote areas through innovative healthcare delivery models. Aime has a particular passion for linked data research, recognising its power to identify barriers to equitable access to healthcare services and inform evidence-based solutions for underserved populations. Aime’s work focuses on achieving health equity through collaborative research frameworks that empower communities and translate findings into real-world policy and practice. Her dedication to improving cancer prevention and care has earned international recognition, including the 2024 Robert E. Scully Award from the International Society for Gynaecological Pathologists.
