Jeyasakthi (Jeya) Venugopal is a non-Indigenous epidemiologist joining the Tobacco Free program within Yardhura Walani. Following her completion of a Master of Public Health specializing in epidemiology and Indigenous health at the University of Toronto, she joined the Public Health Agency of Canada where she coordinated and supported various infectious and non-infectious national disease surveillance programs. Jeya is passionate about community-driven research initiatives that can generate infosystems to fuel policy and practice transformation.
