The Social and Cultural Wellbeing team conducts research on the social determinants of health. Our research looks at how factors such as culture, language, belonging, racism, connection to Country and emotional wellbeing impacts the health of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. The rest of our research teams look into the physical manifestation of social determinants of health. Their focus is on preventing and combating the unique health challenges that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people face.
