What Matters 2 Kids

Project overview

A new nationally relevant wellbeing measure for First Nations children, called What Matters 2Kids (WM2K), is being developed by a majority Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander team. WM2K will be grounded in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children’s views and is the first tailored wellbeing measure to effectively guide and evaluate programs, services, and policies for this population.

What Matters 2 Kids is a five-year project, which aims to co-design a nationally relevant, strengths-based wellbeing measure for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children aged 5-11 years that is grounded in their experiences, values, and culture, and scored using their preferences, to inform clinical and policy decision making in health, education and other domains.
